Our Philosophy
We believe that early childhood is a significant time in human development. With the help of qualified teachers and parental support, we can create an environment that is developmentally appropriate and meets the diverse needs of each child. Providing opportunities for Social, Physical, Intellectual, Creative, and Emotional growth, most importantly through play, offer the children the highest quality learning experiences. Children are able to take part at their own pace and in their own way, thus paving the way for a positive learning attitude.
Winfield Pre-Kindergarten is non-profit organization that was established in 2004. We are located inside the Winfield Elementary school and share a classroom with the kindergarten. Our program is fully licensed through Alberta Government and will follow their regulations and standards for childcare. These regulations relate to the facility, health, safety and teacher/child ratios.
We offer small class sizes for more one on one time. Winfield Pre-Kindergarten is a themed-base program. Activities, stories and crafts are all planned around this theme.
Activities that we enjoy everyday are:
Sand and water Dress-up
Play dough Dollhouse center
Painting Playhouse
Crafts Small toys and cars
Blocks Books and Puzzles
Gym and/or outdoor play
We also participate in Fieldtrips throughout the year. The cost is included in the fee, though occasionally fundraising is required.
A big thank you to the County of Wetaskiwin FCSS for their continuous financial support! Your generous contribution helps make our program a huge success!
